Team Comms with Team APP

Overview

Club communications are powered by Team App. Players/parents will be able to download Team App from their phone’s app store (Apple or Android). Team App can be used to view player availability, match day info and training schedules. If a player is unavailable, the parent can update their child’s availability within the app and you’ll be notified immediately.

As Team Manager you will responsible for ensuring that your team space is updated with the latest draw information which can be found HERE (See ACCESSING THE DRAW above). It is good practice to check the draw the day before the game in case there have been late changes. The club will pre populate all player/parent details from registration making it easier for you to manage comms with your players/parents throughout the season.

The app sends push notifications too so if, for example, a match is cancelled due to wet weather, all you’ll need to do is set the match as cancelled in the app and all parents/players will receive a notification on their phone immediately.

If a player/parent chooses to not install the free app then they will receive instant emails alerts instead. The emails are sent from NTFC Team App and will not require any further effort on your part.

Enter TEAM data

  • For instructions on how to use TeamApp please click HERE

  • You will need to add details of upcoming matches including opposition team, date/time, venue. Draws are available from the NSFA site here. It is a good idea to check the draw the night before as sometimes kick off times and venues can change at the last minute.

  • For all Junior teams, it is a good weekly practice to nominate a parent to bring fruit, keep score or referee matches.

Note: When it comes to rostering, the recommended approach is 'tell don't ask'. If you ask parents to help you're likely to get no, or at least, an insufficient response. Just tell parents what jobs they have and your life will be easier. An effective team manager, delegates :) Don't roster yourself on for any match duties; you're already doing enough!
