  • The winter season kick offs on the first weekend in April for ALL ages and will run through to the final weekend in August (incl a finals series).

For our junior age groups, the first official training session will take place one to two weeks prior to kick season kick off.

For Development League teams playing under our Phoenix partnership, it will be mid February.

  • There are NO games scheduled over the Easter weekend for ALL age groups.

There are also NO games scheduled on the middle weekend of the April and June school holidays for all junior age groups.

There will be NO training in the first week of the school holidays for junior age groups.

  • Football Australia generally sets the minimum age requirement that your child must be turning 5 in the year of their registration. However, it is not unusual for children preschool aged kids to register with us assuming parents are comfortable with the early participation in Under 6.

We host Come and Try coaching events for Kindy to Year 3 aged kids early in the season for those who are considering giving football a go!

Keep an eye out for Come and Try dates HERE

See our Age Group table HERE

  • Our club always makes efforts to keep player registration fees affordable as we do not want it to be a boundary to participation.

We review our registration fees annually to ensure that we can cover regular increases in costs for governing body affiliation, player insurance, council ground and facilities hire etc. Our club also part subsidizes professional coaching costs with Vision Football.

Our current registration fees are listed HERE

NOTE that junior development league costs are communicated directly with parents of those players that are selected after trials.

  • Your registration fee typically includes:

    Player insurance for all games and training sessions;

Affiliation fees to the Northern Suburbs Football Association, Football NSW and Football Australia (incl. ground hire, levies and lighting)

Weekly coaching and training with qualified coaches from Vision Football.

A season of fun, team spirit and developing skills as part of the local football community!!!

A full list of inclusions can be found on our registration page.

  • We are an approved Active Kids provider. If you are receiving the Family Tax Benefit and registering a school aged player you can apply for an Active Kids Voucher to reduce the registration fee.

Please visit our registration page for more info HERE

  • Yes! If three or more players from the one family register with us then they are entitled to a 10% discount. To take up this offer please register online and email the player names by clicking HERE

NOTE: that the discount does not apply to family members selected for Phoenix FC

  • See more information about the current age groups offered at our MY TEAMS page HERE

If you do not see an age group you are interested in then we are always keen to discuss forming a team in your target age group as we quite often have enough interest from other friend or school groups.

Often we may not have enough interested players for a specific age group so if you do not see your age group at registration then please contact our Registrar

Please email our Registrar HERE for more information.

  • Yes but we do encourage registration by end February to allow our coordinators ample time to consider friend requests and form teams.

NOTE any late registrations that have friend requests can only be accommodated if those teams and age groups have vacancies.

PLAYING FOOTBALL WITH US

  • Our club has a junior coaching partnership with VISION FOOTBALL who deliver weekly team coaching to our MiniRoos (U6-U12) and our Phoenix FC Development League age groups via accredited coaches.

    See our Coaching page HERE

We have a Club Coaching Coordinator who oversees our weekly training sessions.

Like all community sporting clubs we do rely on volunteers to assist with key roles for the duration of the season.

Community teams do require a volunteer match day coach (and manager) from your team’s parent group. This is to support weekly training attendance, team/parent communication and match day leadership.

It is MANDATORY for all our Coaches and Managers to hold a valid Working With Children check if over the age of 18.

  • All of our community teams train weekly at Samuel King Oval. We often host special sponsor events on training nights throughout the season.

For a list of our current training times click HERE

Please note that preseason and winter season training grounds/times are subject to local Council approval

Our club actively encourages and promotes female participation. VISIT OUR FEMALE FOOTBALL PAGE HERE

  • Our playing shorts and socks can be purchased when registering online for collection at designated preseason events or via our Club Shop HERE.

Each registered player will receive a our playing shirt. These remain the property of the club and will be collected at the end of the season.

It is mandatory for ALL players to wear SHIN GUARDS and FOOTBALL BOOTS when participating in training and match play. These are available at most sports retailers (i.e. Rebel Sports)

  • YES!

NTFC provides an environment that builds a love for the game, self confidence and the enjoyment of team sport with FRIENDS!

We will always look to place players with friends or school year groups.

This can be requested during the online registration process HERE or on request to ntfcregistrar@gmail.com

We cannot always guarantee this if a player registers post 1st March.

  • NTFC ‘prefers’ not to grade our MiniRoos age groups (U6-U11).

Being a community club, we provide an inclusive environment that first and foremost promotes fun and a love of playing the game with friends from an early age.

We do recognize the importance of competing, as it teaches children the value of winning and losing but these values do not override our commitment to providing our grassroots players with a positive sporting experience, regardless of their perceived level of skill and/or ability.

We also recognize that with time our junior players may be looking for further development opportunities.

NTFC has development league options for our junior players looking for a higher level of football from age Under 8+.

  • Our club is very active on Social Media with both a Facebook and Instagram page. We also distribute a regular newsletter “The Swoop” to all members past and present.

We often find that Teams may use common tools like WhatsApp to communicate info on player availability and other alerts such as wet weather cancellations.

  • A number of our players attend local schools where there is a compulsory Saturday sports program that often takes priority.

We support boys and girls who are committed to school sports but also want to help them to maintain a connection with local friends through club football.

To support this, we are able to request special kick off times that may help to avoid a clash with school matches.

Please email our Club Secretary HERE for more information
