IT TAKES A VILLAGE!
Volunteers have been the lifeblood of our community club since establishment in 1957. We are extremely grateful to those who give up their time each winter season to keep our club operational and an inclusive environment for all to enjoy!
As well as a busy season on-field, there are numerous special events and fun activities off field that contribute to the fun and enjoyment of all players. These rely on the help of our volunteers through a number of key roles including on our club committee, sub committees, coach or manager) along with ad-hoc supporting roles that require a lower level of commitment at various times throughout our winter season.
Below is a sample of the roles where we often require a lower level of assistance from our volunteers:
dressing/undressing our home ground on Saturday/Sundays (good pocket money for a junior!)
helping with the BBQ and pizza distribution on designated training nights
helping plan and setup for annual fundraising events (Female Football week, Disco, Presentation Day etc.)
helping with playing kit sorting and collection
helping with training equipment audits
helping in our canteen on training nights and match day
being a referee or linesperson at weekend games
To find out more or to make yourself available for any of the above, please contact our Club Secretary.
