We now provide a JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT pathway through Ku-ring-gai Phoenix FC.
Phoenix FC is an exciting opportunity for talented players who are driven and committed to play Junior Development League (JDL), Girls Junior Development League (GJDL), Super League or Diamond League football.
Previously, JDL (formerly SAP) opportunities had only been available outside of our club. Through this partnership with Gordon FC and coaching partners at Vision Football we can now offer a higher level pathway for kids across the Ku-ring-gai area.
There is of course a trial based selection process and should your child be successful in any of our age groups offered, then he/she will represent Phoenix FC for the ensuing winter season. Noting that selected players would register for Phoenix FC via a preferred home club (i.e. North Turramurra or Gordon). This model gives our Phoenix FC players access to the resources and benefits provided at both development AND community level.
Confirmation of team entry will be subject to final numbers. Selection trials are conducted in November via our qualified coaching partner VISION FOOTBALL with information on age groups and trial dates below.

JunioR Development League (JDL)
Phoenix FC offers JDL teams (Mixed Boys & Girls) Under 8 to Under 11 as well as GJDL teams (Girls only) Under 10 to Under 11 for players who aspire to play at the very TOP levels of community football. JDL underpins development pathways into Super League and Diamond League age groups 12+ and/or representative football with Northern Tigers.
JDL teams require a higher level of commitment than community football with professional coaching, preseason matches and training twice weekly. Trials are held in November with our professional coaching partners VISION FOOTBALL. Places are then offered to selected players shortly after the final trial.
NOTE - There are additional costs associated with JDL teams to support coaching, and expectations on players in terms of attendance, attitude at training and game days. Detailed information on coaching and registration costs will be provided directly to parents. Pre-season training will commence in February.

DIAMOND League
The aim of Diamond League (or Division 1) is to provide a quality level of competition for female players aged Under 12 through to Under 18 by implementing higher coaching standards, whilst underpinning representative pathway opportunities with Northern Tigers. We are delighted to partner with Gordon FC to offer Diamond League opportunities under our Phoenix FC brand.
There are additional costs associated with Diamond League to support additional coaching with Vision Football, and there are expectations on players in terms of attendance and attitude at training and games.
Our club will publish trial information below for qualified age groups or for expressions of interest.
