REGISTRATION, SEASON and AGES

Registration will open in early January. Please keep an eye on our website and socials for dates.

The winter season will generally commence in early April and run through to the end of August. The first official training session will occur a fortnight prior to season start!

Typically about a quarter of our under 6s are aged 4 at the start of the year. A child turning 5 this year is not necessarily out of place; it depends on the child. Football Federation of Australia generally sets a minimum age requirement, your child must be turning 5 in the year of their registration. See our Age Group table HERE

Our club has made efforts to keep player registration fees consistent as we acknowledge the significant impact COVID-19 has had on members. We are required to review our fees annually to ensure that costs are covered for affiliation, ground hire and club coaching.

Your registration fee includes:
Player insurance for all games and training sessions;
Affiliation fees to the Northern Suburbs Football Association, Football NSW and the FFA (incl. ground hire and lighting)
Weekly coaching and training from qualified coaches;
All games and finals (competition ages only);
North Turramurra FC jersey for all games during the season (returned at end of season);
A season of fun, team spirit and developing skills as part of the local football community!!!

We are an approved Active Kids provider. School aged players can use an Active Kids Voucher to reduce their registration fee by $100.

If 3 or more players from the one family register with us then they are entitled to a 10% discount. To take up this offer please register and email player names HERE

If you register after teams have been formed (normally by mid March) then any late registrations can only be accommodated provided these teams have vacancies.
TEAMS, COACHING and PLAYING

Our junior and senior teams train locally at Samuel King Oval.

Please note that these times and venues are subject to Council approval prior to the winter season.

Member clubs are spread across Northern Sydney.
Our younger age groups (U6-U8) will not have to travel far from home (i.e. Turramurra, St Ives or Mt Colah).
All junior MIXED games are played on Saturdays with kick off times varying between 8.30am and 11.00am.
All Junior Girls Only games are played on Sundays with kick off times varying between 8.30am and 11.00am.
Men’s Senior Competition teams play Saturdays at either 1.00pm or 3.00pm (with an occasional Sunday)
Women’s Senior Competition teams play Sundays at either 1.00pm or 3.00pm depending on division.

All registered players can purchase our official playing shorts ($15) and socks ($10) either when registering online or at designated preseason events that will be communicated.
Each registered player will receive a our playing shirt but these remain the property of the club. These MUST be returned at the end of the season in good condition!
All players MUST wear FOOTBALL BOOTS and SHIN GUARDS for both training and matches. These are available at most sports retailers and are worn to prevent injury.
Club members will have the opportunity to purchase team apparel (i.e. Hoodies, Training Shirts, Beanies) during the season via our online shop HERE.

Like all community sporting clubs we do rely on parent volunteers to assist with key roles for the duration of the season.
We will require a volunteer coach (and manager) from the team parent group. This is to support training availability, team/parent communication and match day leadership.
Our club partners with XLR8 Player Development to deliver weekly age specific training programs and coaching services to our MiniRoos (Under 6 to Under 11) by an experienced and accredited XLR8 coaching team. See our Coaching page HERE
We also have our own dedicated in-house coaching team consisting of Grassroots, Skills and Senior C-Level qualified coaches.
These coaches are supported and mentored by our dedicated Club Coaching Coordinators (Mini Roos & Junior Competition) who oversee our weekly training sessions that are aligned to the INSPIRE coaching program.
All our Coaches and Managers MUST provide a valid Working With Children number.

Yes, our club aims to provide an environment that builds a love for the game, self confidence and the enjoyment of team sport with friends thus we will always look to place players with their friends but cannot always guarantee if a player registers late.

Our U6-U7 teams are open to both We offer both Mixed (Girls/Boys) and Girls Only teams (subject to player numbers).
Mixed (boys/girls) play matches played on Saturday mornings.
Girls Only teams (U6 & U7) have the option of playing Saturday mornings against mixed teams OR Sundays against Girls Only teams at local hubs.
Girls Only teams U8 age group onwards play on Sunday mornings only however Girls are welcome to continue playing Mixed on Saturday mornings should that be preferred.
Female Football participation continues to increase and we are always on the lookout for friends and/or school groups who may want to form a team at NTFC.

NTFC ‘prefers’ not to grade our MiniRoos teams (U6-U11)
Being a community club, we provide an inclusive environment that promotes fun and a love of playing the game with friends from an early age.
We do recognize the importance of competing, as it teaches children the value of winning and losing but these values do not override our commitment to providing our grassroots players with a positive sporting experience, regardless of their perceived level of skill and/or ability.

Our club is very active on Social Media with both a Facebook and Instagram page
We use TeamApp to regularly communicate club news, events, game fixtures, player availability and other general alerts such as wet weather cancellations to our registered members.
We encourage members to download the TeamApp smart phone app and search for ‘North Turramurra FC’ You can then request to join the registered age group/team.

A number of our players attend local schools where it is compulsory to play a Saturday sport.
Our club supports boys and girls who are committed to school sports but also want to maintain a local club connection with friends.
In special cases we are able to request a specific kick off time to avoid a clash with school matches.
