IT TAKES A VILLAGE!

Volunteers have been the lifeblood of our community club since establishment in 1957. We are extremely grateful to those who give up some of their time each season to keep our club operational and a positive environment for all!

As well as a busy season, there are special football and social events, all of which rely on the help of volunteers. Volunteers support our club through a number of key roles (eg. committee, coach or manager) along with ad-hoc roles that require a lower level of commitment and at various times throughout our winter season.

A sample of the roles where we require a lower level of assistance from our volunteers:

  • dressing/undressing our home ground on Saturday/Sundays (good pocket money for a junior!)

  • helping with pizza distribution on training nights

  • helping plan and setup at annual fundraising events (Club BBQs, Presentation Day etc.)

  • helping with playing kit sorting and collection

  • being a referee or linesperson at weekend games

WORKING WITH CHILDREN (WWC) CHECK

The WWC Check is a NSW Government requirement which applies to people who work or volunteer directly with children (u18).

The following personnel for all teams (with the exception of 35+) must provide a valid WWC Number:

  • Coaches (and assistants)

  • Team Managers (and assistants)

  • Committee members

  • Age Coordinators

  • Club Referees

PLEASE NOTE: People under 18 years of age are exempt

If you already have a WWC number, forward your certificate (email from Service NSW) to our Club Secretary along with your full name, date of birth and role at the club.

If you do not already have a WWC Number, apply on-line. The process only takes a few minutes. Tick “Volunteer” to avoid being charged $80, and for Sector, choose Clubs.

An application number will be generated. Print this sheet and take it to the nearest Service NSW Registry with proof of identity. 

You will receive your WWC Number by email from Service NSW within a couple of weeks.

Forward the email to our Club Secretary along with your full name, date of birth and role at the club.
